He ties my hero as a kid. Congrats to A-Rod.
Yahoo is reporting that Sabathia has just been dealt to the Brewers for prospects including LaPorte.
elsbury was struck out. His Hands broke the front part of the plate. This umpire sucks royal moose gonads.
I know he even thought he was out by his body language that cost Joba runs. I can’t stand Kevin Youkilis why is he glaring down the field what a charecter.
I agree with you both but Girardi showed me absolutely NOTHING in that inning. If the damn manager isn’t going to show some emotion how the *ell do you expect the players to? I wanted Girardi as manager for that type of situation, he’d show emotion and stick up for his players. His pitcher got screwed by a BAD call and he did nothing.
Jeter knocks in a run then makes an error to help them score a run. Great year this team is having. Can’t get over soon enough.
So…… We dont get CC.. We’re on the way to losing 3 of 4 to the suchs. At least the sunset was nice tonight. Well? What is there to look forward to next year? Gardner looks good in LF…..
I missed that Cano so much that it hurts. Yeah baby!! Meanwhile—something worse than Yankee offense…Laz Diaz’s umpiring skills.
oh my god he’s horrible. He’s calling pitches a foot off the plate strikes. This whole crew sucks.
And Pukolis is one of the biggest pricks in Baseball. BTW-I knew francona was going to get beat by turning posadas around to Righty-didn’t he know Jorge is much kmore comfortable batting righ handed? its his natural side, and also that he couldn’t sniff a Knuckler tonight!!!
Kyle Farnsworth
He also missed it on Gardner’s line drive down the right side. It’s NOT where it lands jackass it’s where it goes over the bag. Know the rules, jerk.
make it the left side, been a long day.
Does management not trust anyone in the pen but Farnsworth and Mo.?
Punk Manny gets paid an aweful lot of money to just stand there and not take the bat off his shoulder.
YEAH! That was a double down the line all the way. Gardner looks like he could become something special…AROD is up. End it, buddy!
After Girardi’s ejection, we hit like heck! C’moooon Robby Thompson… Grats to A-Rod. I don’t care if he’s having an affair with Madonna, if he’s hitting homers, he’s fine with me.

Sometimes I’d rather be lucky than good. Congrats to Mr. Gardner on his winning single. Betemit NEEDS to go asap!
YES!YES!YES! YES!!!!
What did I tell ya about Gardner?? Did I NOT call it??? Huh? SOMETHING special….WHAT an atbat. did NOT quit-and on Paplebon of all people!
Really, lets see if these two games can help tunr this season around….
(actually, I thought a-rod was going to end it…who cares…GO HOME REDSUX!)
Let’s hope so michael but as good as Gerdner’s at bat was, Betemit’s was absolutely *HIT!!! What a bum, get rid of him.
I knew Gardner would come through eventually. That guy can swing the stick, and he had a productive day today with his first multihit game! That’s back-to-back days of exciting Yankee wins, and another good Red Cox-Yankees series.
That’s right, I said Red Cox.

DO NOT get me started on Willie Mays Hayes Betemit over here. (he runs like Mayes and hits like crap). Its funny, because I wanted to throw my TV out the window when they pinch hit the WB for Molina. Paplebon-bon made him look like a redheaded stepchild (even though I am well aware of the fact that he does not, in fact, have red hair.) But I was confident gardner was going to get on, and that Jeter was going to pop one into left field.
And I am so sick of seeing Hideki Okajerkme pitch. With that little head “jerk” that he does I’m surprised he doesn’t have whiplash.
And What the heck is this about: Jacoffme Ellsbury is a “rookie”? You kidding me? Wtach-Chamberlain pitched to a 2.00era this season and Jacoffme Ellsbury gets the rookie of the year award. He ain’t no ROOKIE.
And Kevina Poukilis is my new “most hated player”. See him go in with his spikes on his slide into second? Joba can throw behind him any time he wants….I mean, who cares; he didn’t hit him.
Ahhhhh…I loathe the Redsox. I think they should try, as a team, bathing once and a while. i heard thats really good for curing diseases like “plague” and “dysentry”. And Manny Ramirez looks like the Predator’s third cousin twice removed with that ultra-disgusting hair of his.
Sorry, I’m just happy for the first time in weeks about this stupid yankee team. They beat the smelly gym Sox in two heart breakers that really make a difference in the standings for the red sox (not so much for the yankees, though-not yet. We HAVE to get both from the D-rays -er-Rays…)

How could you say Mussina isn’t respected by the players? He’s a really well liked guy around the league. I’ve never heard anything bad about him.
He has better #’s than santana-two more wins with an offense that is, well, offensive (Ha, I like that!)
By michaeljmacaluso@aol.com on July 7, 2008 12:02 AM
I agree, he dissed Clemens and Clemens took it because he respects Moose.
Gardner is way better than Matt believes.
Abreu once again gave a double by waiting for Cash’s flyball to bounce, no hussle.
Unfortunately, Olney was right about CC deal. ESPN’s telecast mention Wolf, Fuentes (and one move reliever), An outfielder, some bench players as our targets. Gammons however had a hard time with shrugging off the Bonds speculation for Boston.
Brewers are taking a huge gamble now. I hope it pays off for them, otherwise they are screwed. I can’t see them being able to hold onto either Sheets or CC, let alone both. If they don’t go deep into the postseason they’re gonna regret losing LaPorta
Congratulations to the Milwaukee Brewers on renting CC for half a season. Think about this, everyone. Do you really think the Brewers have the coffers to keep CC Sabathia? He left Cleveland because they couldn’t pay him. This is a fantastic move on the part of CC. He gets to face hitters who have never seen him for half a season, pad his numbers as a result, then declare free agency at the end of the season and get a 200 million dollar contract. Cashman, just hand him a blank check when the time comes, and let him fill in the zeros.
———————————————————————–
GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!!!
All the analysts are saying that the Sabathia deal is exclusively a rent. Even local Milwaukee guys.
At least we’re only 9 games out of first. The DEVILRAYS can start losing anytime now. On that note, we can start winning anytime. No really, Yanks, it’s OK to win more than 1 game in a row.
CC is doing a beltran. That “rental” by the astros made Beltran a very, very rich man….
4 games out of the wildcard.
If the Yanks want to start winning, they need to dump the WB and get some better bench players to add some depth to this lineup. Hows about making it “official” about LaToya and carrying 12 pitchers so we can get add another bat.
And no Bonds. Just…no Bonds.
Mussina should be at least at the game to be introduced. But you know, who cares. The wilds card is within striking distance, and who knows, they could get the division if they have a good showing against the DEVILRAYS they can steal this division…Maybe Mike Francesa was right-maybe they take the WC and get in.
I’m as cynical as they come…But guys, think about what could happen if they get in to a short series. They can cause problems for some of these AL teams who might make it. Think about it: in the Division series, Joba might be back in the Bullpen…I just see them getting out of the first round if, and thats a big IF, they get in to the play offs..
