“It’s aight.”

It takes a lot to knock Derek Jeter out of the lineup. Did you really think a bruised pinky finger was going to make him miss the final Opening Day at Yankee Stadium? On another note, I’m not with the club in Florida but saw the latest issue of Men’s Health at the grocery store here tonight. Jeter’s on the cover and I picked it up. Looks like a solid write-up of the Captain and also a few interesting insights into his workout regimen.

Jason Giambi feels like he’s got his “second wind,” and that’s good — Joe Girardi is counting on him for both offense and defense this year, and to be a contributor. Meanwhile, even though I never considered Scott Patterson a serious contender to make the Opening Day roster, he certainly didn’t do anything wrong. That makes his demotion probably the toughest to handle.

I see thanks to ESPN we are keeping Henn, still no word on the other transactions.

Bruney on the hill = suicide, which could (combined with Igawa) = Cashman’s job.

Where are the transactions notes on Britton, Igawa, Henn, Green and Rasner. Who was released, who was DL’d, who was sent to the minors?

Stanton got released by the Reds.

Demitri Young is doing better. I thought he was in a Diabetes coma, maybe he was able to get his weight down?

All I know is that on every Yankee forum I’ve been on since yesterday’s game, people were freaking out over Jeter’s injury. It’s great to know that he’s ok.

This is first comment fome some time. Has anyone been able to receive MLB TV Coverage. It appears that with a system change comes a problem. Please advise as first game two days away.

Has anyone been able to obtain any MLB Coverage at all. I have tried for past 24 hours with no luck. If there is a problem is it being worked on. With 2 days to go it may be a problem. Can someone please comment as I am looking for feedback.

It’s funny how Joe says people were in camp to “compete” for a job. I feel bad for Patterson because he did compete right down to the very end and then he was given a song and a dance from Joe and Brian. So, basically Patterson was a warm body taking up space until they had to do what they did. Look, I played 5 years in the NFL so I know how much BS there is in competing for a job. Sometimes owners, GM’s, managers and coaches have their minds made up but they say all the politically correct things to the media and players when in reality they know what they are going to do. I wish and hope Patterson gets a chance to come back and he has officially become the person I am going to root for the most but until then, FINALLY IT’S TIME TO PLAY SOME BASEBALL! GO YANKEES!!!
