Batter up

After a few hours on the bench, we’ve got a spiffy new site design going here at Bombers Beat – a good look for ’08, I might say. It’ll take some getting used to, but since the Yankees are winging it north to New York for a workout on Sunday at the Stadium, there’s no time like the present to get off to a fresh start.

For those who missed it, here’s how the final roster spots played out this weekend. This will change when Andy Pettitte comes off the DL to face the Rays on Saturday, so one of those relievers (Jonathan Albaladejo?) will be in for a short stay:

Johnny Damon LF
Derek Jeter SS
Bobby Abreu RF
Alex Rodriguez 3B
Jason Giambi 1B
Jorge Posada C
Hideki Matsui DH
Robinson Cano 2B
Melky Cabrera CF

Jose Molina
Shelley Duncan
Morgan Ensberg
Wilson Betemit

RHP Chien-Ming Wang
RHP Mike Mussina
RHP Phil Hughes
RHP Ian Kennedy

RHP Mariano Rivera
RHP Joba Chamberlain
RHP LaTroy Hawkins
RHP Kyle Farnsworth
LHP Billy Traber
RHP Ross Ohlendorf
RHP Brian Bruney
RHP Jonathan Albaladejo

disturbing that the Yanks have one left handed reliever…..

The site looks nice and if I’m not mistaken, each post has it’s own url. Anyway, the Yankee lineup looks fine, I’m just worried about Mike Mussina and Andy Pettitte this year.

Hi, Bryan!

I’m just starting to check out the new site designs on MLBlogs…

They are very cool and sharp looking; but, like you said, “will take some time to get used to!…

Not too many surprises regarding the Yankees Opening Day Roster…..If any changes have to be made, the players needed from (AAA) Scranton Wilkes-Barre, and, or, (AA) Trenton are only a phone call away, and a short drive or plane trip to New York!….

Only one day until “Opening Day” !!! I can’t wait!

Go Yankees! Number 27 in 2008 !!!…….[ Jimmy – 27 NYY ]
