As a Phillies fan in New York, I’m looking forward to watching this game. It’s Spring Training, but when you’re a baseball junkie, it’s the needed fix.

It should be a good matchup.

Bryan, i’m gonna shamelessly plug my blog.. hope you don’t mind..

check out my baseball/conspiracy theory blog [which i made myself because i'm a database programmer]..

not much of a site but it’s mine

Have at it. Meanwhile Shelley Duncan ripped the first pitch he saw from Adam Eaton over the left field wall for a three-run homer. Yankees 3, Phillies coming to bat.

Let The Games Begin…

A good start yesterday, with the “Big Three” pitching well, and an 11-4 win!!!

It was only the first game of the Spring, vs. a College team, but a win is a win!

I look forward to today’s game [the first of the year on MLB.TV]…I’m going their now – it’s great to have live baseball action back!

All I can say is “Go Yankees”

The road to our 27th World Championship starts now !!!

wooo!!! i call Duncan the ‘Duncano’ (pronounced like volcano)

i think he’s the right-handed version of Giambi in the way that he pulls pitches and looks like he’s gonna fall over

levelboss,

I just checked out your Blog…

Cool picture at the top of your site !!!

Very nice pictures of the Yankees at spring training. The pictures really make me want to be in Tampa, Florida.

Well, at least we didn’t get any of the snow that was forecast here in New York – last night and today. Actually, the weather is kind of nice today!

Good Luck with your Blog!

Go Yankees !!!

Jimmy

Jimmy, thank you for visiting my lonely blog

i really appreciate it, dude

Top of the third…

Yankees 5, Phillies 0

Two-run Double [off the left field wall] by Duncan, driving in Jeter and Abreu.

Great slide at 2B by Duncan…The ball beat him to the bag, but Duncan made a nice move to avoid tag, and get the Double.

Shelley looks like he is in good shape!

Five RBI’s [so far] for Shelley Duncan today !!!

Bad outing for Darrell Rasner. The two walks are, more than anything, what Girardi did not want to see.

Billy Traber making a bid to make the Yankees roster. Good first impression — 4-1, F8, F8.

Final…

Yankees 9, Phillies 3

Ross Ohlendorf closed out game, pitching a scoreless 9th inning…

Yankees win, The Yankees win !!!

Hi Bryan,
Give us your thoughts on what you’ve seen on the mound if you don’t mind. I know an inning isn’t a lot of exposure but it could be all some of these kids will get. Thanks. Nik

You had to see the HR by Montero. Took an outside pitch and rode it to RF. Looked like a Mike Piazza-type HR. That kid is big and STRONG—and only 18. Impressive.

The Frieze.

Scratch any thoughts of Tom Gordon, Betemit hit a 2 run HR off him I see.
